MAD is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the mobile app, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What We Collect

When you use the MAD app, we collect:

  • Your Twitter (X) handle, name, email address, and profile picture (via X authentication)
  • Your date of birth (for age verification - must be 18+)
  • Payment details (for Stripe payouts)
  • Request and response activity (offers, counters, proof links, and screenshots)
  • Your IP address (for security, fraud prevention, and analytics)
  • Device identifiers and push notification tokens (to send you alerts and updates)
  • Information from your X profile and submitted posts necessary for campaign verification
  • Crash data, performance metrics, and diagnostic information (via Sentry for app improvement)
  • Product interaction data (how you navigate and use the app)

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Display your profile and manage content requests
  • Notify you of new offers, updates, and important account information
  • Send marketing communications about new features and opportunities (with your consent)
  • Process payments and withdrawals via Stripe
  • Prevent fraud and abuse
  • Monitor app performance and fix errors (using Sentry)
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our service
  • Provide customer support

If and wen we send you marketing communications you will be able to opt out at any time through a link in the email, through app settings, or by contacting support.

3. What We Don't Do

We do not track users. Specifically, we do not:

  • Sell your data to third parties
  • Share your data with advertising networks for targeted ads
  • Link your data with third-party data for advertising purposes
  • Share your information with data brokers
  • Use your information for cross-app tracking
  • Post anything on your Twitter without your explicit action
  • Track your phone activity outside the app

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted services to handle specific functions:

  • X/Twitter OAuth (authentication, accessing your name, email, profile picture, and public profile information)
  • Stripe (payment processing, payouts, and tax reporting)
  • Hetzner, OVH or similar hosting services (secure data storage)
  • Expo Push Notifications (sending alerts about requests and payments)
  • Sentry (application performance monitoring, error tracking, may include user identifiers for debugging)

These services only receive the minimum data necessary to perform their functions.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

  • Account data: Deleted immediately upon account deletion request
  • Financial and tax records: up to 7 years if required by law
  • Submitted content: Until account deletion
  • Diagnostic data: 90 days for app improvement purposes

6. Data Deletion

You can request to delete your account and all data through the app in the settings drawer in the profile tab, or by emailing [email protected].

Deletion is immediate and irreversible. Any pending funds in your balance will be forfeited.

We may retain financial and tax records as required by law, even after account deletion.

7. Security

We use encryption and access controls to keep your data safe. Still, no system is 100% secure, so please use caution with sensitive information.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Contact us with privacy concerns

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
